Noosa Waters Residents Association
Incident Report #116
This Post has been requested by the Local Police…
Police of the Northern Patrol, Sunshine Coast District have had further reports of burglaries / stolen vehicles from Noosa Waters overnight Monday night.
The police attempted intercepts of the offenders at Twin Waters and also on the southbound carriageway of the Bruce Highway early Tuesday morning. Stingers (tyre deflation devices) were deployed during these attempts. Unfortunately the police were unsuccessful. Investigations are underway to identify those involved. The police have gathered a lot of evidence to date and are confident of catching the offenders. It is believed these offenders are again from the south east.
Police and Noosa Waters Neighbourhood Watch again stress to all residents the importance of ensuring that security is tight, doors are locked, vehicle keys are secured and garage doors are closed.
Police advise that, based on previous experience, it is possible that the offenders may return to Noosa until they are apprehended.
Private video footage has been given to the police by a concerned neighbour and sensor lights and security camera footage may deter or help to identify offenders.
