Could you be our new Secretary?

Noosa Waters Residents Association is looking for a new volunteer Secretary, and this is more than a note-taker. It is a right-hand role to the President: someone who helps drive our engagement with Council and keeps the committee moving.

Our Secretary, John Lee, has stepped down. John has given a great deal to the association and to Noosa Waters, and we thank him sincerely for his contribution.

The past year has been a big one. We have worked closely with Council on the special levies and secured real, lasting outcomes for residents, and we now have a seat at the table on the Resilient Rivers Noosa Catchment Action Plan. There is genuine momentum behind what we are doing, and this role is central to keeping it going.

The role

Think of it as second in charge. Working closely with the President, you would:

  • Help lead our engagement with Council, including the special levies, the quarterly meetings and the Resilient Rivers catchment work

  • Keep the committee on track: agendas set, actions followed up, and things done on time

  • Take and circulate the minutes, and keep our records and annual return in order

  • Help shape and drive the projects that matter to Noosa Waters

Who we are looking for

Someone organised and reliable who wants to roll up their sleeves, is comfortable dealing with Council, and is keen to help protect what makes Noosa Waters special. You do not need formal qualifications. We use simple tools, including AI to help with minutes and drafting, so the admin is lighter than it used to be. What matters most is energy, follow-through and a genuine interest in our community.

Why get involved

This is a real chance to have a say in the future of our estate, to work alongside a committed and friendly committee, and to help protect our waterways, our amenity and our community.

Register your interest

If you would like to put your hand up, or simply find out more before you decide, please get in touch. We are happy to have a no-obligation chat about what is involved.
