The Thursday Girls is a registered Australian charity, run by a committee of volunteers.

We are a group of women who are passionate about supporting children whose families are suffering from financial hardships. Local schools apply to The Thursday Girls for grants for individual students. If the application is successful, The Thursday Girls will transfer funds directly to the school to provide the nominated student access to new opportunities and educational resources. For example, this may be a school or music camp where the student may have missed out due to financial hardship, or new sports shoes or laptop to allow the student to participate in activities at school.Â

The committee arranges lunches (and other events) at local restaurants generally monthly, raising money for the charity from ticket sales, raffles, and the donations of attendees.
